I am happy to be able to map to a large extent due to reasonable information wonderful Natural Earth I used as the basis. Language elements Nathaniel Kelso Vaughn, Tom Patterson and many others. It uses the NASA blue marble image data, but it is lightened and desaturated, that works much better than the blue marble when combined with other data.On the basis of the maps are added to the list of images in color with another: "Cross blended with the colors of the Hypsometric" this elevation of privilege (AS 30 plus), but the added twist of dry and Temperate climate, a separate color palettes, to show the land and forest areas are green.

Cross blended with the colors of the HypsometricIf that is not enough (I'm starting to maqui berry information sound like salesman) not corresponding to the transfers of the vector (independent of the resolution) coastal, land boundaries, rivers, roads, etc., optimized for three different scales (low-resolution map needs less detailed coastline data high-resolution map of coastline with fine detail areas than is otherwise blobby mess).If you make maps or even just like maps, they are well worth checking out.
